why is it that you see all these badass painted thousands of dollars spent on a custom ride and they put in cheap ass everyday name brand car audio. yeah everyone knows who they are but why not put in the good stuff and make it even better. kicker and rf. i am not dogging you yo make a good product but theses people put in entry level equipment and think cause its a major name brand that its the shit.

Also, i think they are broke after all the custom work, so they just buy whatever since the focus is on the work, not the equipment.

because they know more about getting the paint and body work and nothing about systems so they talk to there friend that works at the garage at best buy and hes says he will hook him up

I think it's just for less hassle. If you think about it, they have a ride with countless hours work put in, chances are will be featured in magazines and will be seen at shows.

A lot of people would give them shit for say, putting in dc subs, or sundown subs. Just because they think since they haven't heard of them, they must be shit.

People are stupid. Easier just to put in some name brand. Besides, quite a lot of those rides are install orientated rather than function.

There is also the fact that since it is a show car, then often it is better for show if all the audio gear is the same brand. There are very few if any "underground" companies that most of us use that produce entire lines of equipment. None of them that I know of do head-units, and the next closest would be sundown having amps subs and speakers

Having a car that has "alpine" written on everywhere will look better than a car with fi on the subs, crescendo sub amps, sundown mids and highs amp, pro audio mids, and a pioneer hu or something
