Omega5002 Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 stop jump starting your car and running it like that or the next thing getting fried will be the alternator I only jump it when needed, and beat the piss out of it when I didn't know what I was doing. The past year I have treated it well and with consern. I never go under 12.5 while bumping. This battery is probably almost 10 years old, and I live in chicago where it can go hot to cold in a matter of hours, so the combination of everything has had its effects on my battery. 10 years old, I'm surprised you can even jump start it. Though I think it's really time to get a new battery. I have had it for 5 years, it is a 91'. so who knows how much older than that it is. My dad bought a new one from NAPA so it's all good, sucks I had to get a new one though.
