Finding Resonant Frequency

I've seen threads like this before, but none of them helped me too much. I want to know how to find the resonant frequency of the cabin.

Does this peak hold constant regardless of the box in the car, or does it change depending on what box is in the car.

Also, is my SPL peak frequency different than my resonant cabin frequency? from ive been told these are 2 different frequencies. Right now my highest SPL frequency is 39 hz.. Seems low? What if my peak is like 50 something and im missing out on numbers here? Then i could just make a daily port and spl port.

there was a thread where people were posting the Resonant Freq's for the particular vehicle on here somewheref

from what I remember you put a 12" in a 1cube sealed box and run sweeps (from say 35-60hz) with a TL on peak hold, and it should show you the Resonant Frequency....most likely you'll be in the high30s or somewhere in the 40s would be my guess...most vehicles I have seen posted were in the 40s unless they were like CRX's

what vehicle do you have?

my 05 Grand Cherokee resonant Freq is 47hz and I peaked at 46hz on the meter

nop it means that your system is peaking @ 39 hz , that`s it, your resonant frequency is way higher than that, but if you ask me, i haven´t peaked at res frequency since 2008 or something like that, i always build more efficient systems with lower peaks on bigger boxes and smaller power , or at least i try to.

I´ve never worked on a similar car, but, i can asure you that a trunk car with that size should be above 45 hz, if you are looking to become a serious competitor trying to squeeze as many tenths on the meter as you can then yes try rising that peak, if not, then forget about it , res frequency is not that useful on the majority of the cases

particular brand? does sealed enclosure need to be in trunk? can i lay it on my back seats folded down?

dont wanna remove box if i dont have to, but obviously i will...to find this freq
