I'm going to be using approx. 870@ 2 ohms. he is running 600rms @ 2ohms to his sub, an it bottoms out like crazy, he is going to be buying my amp an running 900 watts rms @ 2ohms. i agree with my bro, the box needs to be smaller. about 3 ft3 would do the trick mayb slightly bigger. My build 98 s10 2.2 3 american bass HD 15s with psi soft parts. (on there way here) atomic at-3000.1 (soon) 146.2 outlaw @39hz., bad alt an bad batt when termed (old 2 12" build) alpine 6.5s in doors infinty 4x6s in dash. clarion cz201 HU. mechman 240a H/O alt stuff i still need. SHCA 2/0 wire SHCA 1/0 to 2/0 adapters Atomic AT-3000.1 Lots of sound deadner new mids an highs, still debating on what to do. A few Deka g31 batts.

Aq love big boxes dont do small, smallest should be 4.2 net. settings on the amp is perfectly fine, it depends on what u play, if u like some lows, it will bottom out like crazy, we played some decaf on his system an all it did was bottom out. an its tuned to 33hz so tuning is fine on it for lows. just box is to big. I was giving them 1200 clean rms. I was testing it with a bass cd and it played well down to 25hz in a 07 yukon truck. jeep0312 Posted December 7, 2012 Report Posted December 7, 2012 Sorry for the late responses. I have 2 boxes one at 4.2 cubes and he other at 3.0 cubes. My sub is bottoming out in both boxes. The amp is an RF600.1bd we have it tuned with a dd-1 and the subsonic at 30hz. It sounds like something tapping at the dust cap.
