scooter99 Posted February 10, 2014 Author Report Posted February 10, 2014 So this is the spot I decided on for my fuse holders. I was going to use these two here for each 3500, and then put the other one somewhere else, for the 4 channel amps, but I apparently have lost or misplaced my dual inputs for the second amp. So I'm going to have to go with single runs for now, and maybe go to duals later on. Let's make some cables. Starting with the ground run. Soldered on some terminals, put some techflex on and some SHCA Orange shrink. BAM! Next is the positive side. One amp pos and ground done. Time for the second one. Both amps pos and grounds are ready. Facebook Page: S99Creations 2006 F250 Lariat Build
scooter99 Posted February 10, 2014 Author Report Posted February 10, 2014 Time for the sub cables. SHCA 8ga. Shorty runs. 8 ga SHCA copper terminals. Solder them all on. Then added a little love. SHCA Sub + and - shrink. Then the remote wire will finish things off. Little orange flex to dress it up. Remote wire is ready. All the cables are now ready for the amps. scooter99 Posted February 10, 2014 Author Report Posted February 10, 2014 Passenger side amp out and ready to get some cabling. This is how easy the removable floor makes accessing the amps. This was very easy to remove. All cables in. It's a mess now but it'll get cleaned up for sure. Got the runs to the battery and fuse holder. Then did the same for the driver side. and dressed them up. Overall view. And this is what it looks like on the wall. So that's how my Saturday went. I'm going to end there for now. I'm exhausted, and I have to get up at 3:45am. I'll get the rest of it up soon. I'll have more to do tomorrow, and tomorrow night. So hopefully I can get pics up soon. It's crunch time folks!! Only a few days left and there's just sooooo much left to do. Going to be some late nights, and hard days. I'm hoping that I have this up and running by Thursday night, cause I'm not going to be able to work on it Friday, and well, Saturday is the day. Stay tuned, there's more coming!! SLAYER1805 Posted February 10, 2014 Report Posted February 10, 2014 I've said it before and I'll say it again, your attention to detail is awesome, from the color coordination to the labeling. I'm getting excited to see this finished
RossGo Posted February 10, 2014 Report Posted February 10, 2014 Glad the copper crimps worked out. Should look great all wrapped up. Absolutely love the techflex power runs However, why is the passenger side sub slanted a bit? I imagine my OCD isn't far from yours, so I'll blame your daughter haha Yes I have a lot of stereo weight. scooter99 Posted February 10, 2014 Author Report Posted February 10, 2014 I have no response Ross. I don't know. I must have been going too quickly that day. Hopefully it won't bug me too much, or I'll have to rebuild that baffle cause it's not like I can just twist the sub. So it is what it is. Thanks everyone for the compliments and support. I'm under a ton of stress, and I'm not sure if I'm going to finish or not. But, like I said before, if I don't finish, it's not from lack of effort. This week will tell alot! It's all or nothing now!
