scooter99 Posted February 12, 2014 Author Report Posted February 12, 2014 We'll have to see about that Maiko. I'm going to be out with the family from 5:30 till I don't know when, then I'll be back working on it. Hopefully if all goes well, I'll be just putting my doors back on, and then trying to seal up the back somehow. Thanks guys, yes, nerve racking for sure but I'm excited as hell too cause i'm almost there. And I agree 1000% Kyle, need beer and relaxing time with a bunch of bass heads!! scooter99 Posted February 13, 2014 Author Report Posted February 13, 2014 Ok so here's today's update. Sorry there aren't any pictures to go with it. I have some, but I'm spending literally every moment I have getting this thing going. So last night was a short night but a decent one. ONly got a couple hours on it, even as sleep deprived as I am. These 4-5 hour nights sleep are catching up and I almost made a mistake last night. Not a crucial one, but just one that would've cost me more work. But I caught myself and it's all good. So, last night I wired up the trunk lid amp rack, and also the rest of the wires for the sub amps on. SO today I have the following to do to get playing. Or at least get to where I can tune it to get playing. ÿ Wiring o Remote wire o Speaker wire to doors o 360 remote cable o Run RCA’s o Finish any cables o Install Fuses for amps ÿ Tuning o DD-1 Head unit, 360 and amps CC-1 Amps ÿ Finish Battery Racks o Connect positive and negative main cables o Run 2/0ga ground cables to frame So it may be late tonight, but I should be up and running tonight. I'll be loading the 360 software today when I get home and should have an unimpeded afternoon of work. It's getting closer for sure. If I get this all up and running today, then tomorrow night will be not nearly as long as I was earlier projecting it to be. Everyone keep your fingers crossed for minimal issues. scooter99 Posted February 14, 2014 Author Report Posted February 14, 2014 Well I wish I had better news, but I got it all wired up last night, turned the key and nothing came on. The remote wire is hit and miss. I dont know what was going on. It's at about 10.3v and then doesn't seem to work. I couldnt get the 360 to turn on like that. But with the remote in to the 360, on the 12v lead, it would turn it all on. I had a relay between the head unit and the 360 too and it wouldn't even engage. I took the relay out, to the relay out from the 360 off the amps, thinking it was just too much for 4 amps to turn on, and still nothing. So im stumped and frustrated and feeling defeated right now. Sitting in the parking lot at work on 3 hours of sleep, and not much time tonight to do things. Im not sure what's going to end up happening but its not looking good right now. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? Remember that "major setback" I was talking about a couple days ago? Yeah, here it is. Facebook Page: S99Creations 2006 F250 Lariat Build
Leo1103 Posted February 14, 2014 Report Posted February 14, 2014 Hook up remote wire to a switch off the batt banks directly to the amps/360. You'll have reinforcements there soon enough. Im gna try to make it out again tomorrow morning. 2002 Honda CR-VAlpine 9887My BuildRebuilding...
