scooter99 Posted February 13, 2014 Report Posted February 13, 2014 So I'm about to be ready to get up and running tonight. I need to figure out the order of which I need to do things. Here is the equipment: Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 Tablet (not needed now) Samsung Galaxy S3 (via Bluetooth connection to head unit) Pioneer x9500BHS Headunit Rockford Fosgate 3sixty.3 2 Crescendo bc3500's (running each separate at 1 ohm per sub) 2 Crescendo symphony 800/4's (one for mids and one for tweets now, and later adding rear fill) So, I'm assuming this order. First I need to DD1 the Galaxy S3 and find its clipping point separately? Second DD1 the head unit, both in bluetooth mode (downloading the cd's onto the S3), and cd mode, or does that matter? Third, with head unit turned up to it's max point before clipping, DD1 the 360.3 all channels to their max unclipped output. Fourth, with the head unit and 360 turned up to their max unclipped volumes, DD1 and CC1(to gain match) the mid bass 800/4 channel amp and also DD1 the tweeter 800/4 channel amp. Fifth and last, DD1 and CC1 (gain match) the two 3500's. Next do I need to CC1 the 4 channel amps at all with the 360 handling the crossover settings etc. How do I set the SSF, or does that need to be done? Thanks for any help you guys can give me. n8ball2013 Posted February 13, 2014 Report Posted February 13, 2014 I would let the 360 handle all processing and crossover points and leave the filters on the amps wide open to be honest. you have verything else down imo THERE IS NO BUILD LOG! 1998 Chevy Silverado ext cab Alpine CDA-9887 4 Team Fi 15s 2 Ampere Audio TFE 8.0 2 Ampere Audio 150.4 3 Digital Designs CS6.5 component sets Dual Mechman 370XP Elite alternators inbound! 8 XS Power d3400 6 XS power d680 Second Skin Stinger Tsunami Wiring Sky High A Real Voltmeter not a piece of shit stinger.
scooter99 Posted February 13, 2014 Author Report Posted February 13, 2014 By wide open, and remember I'm a NOOB (LOL), do you mean turned all the way up or down? Tuning is a major weak point for me N8. I'm pretty lame! LOL Facebook Page: S99Creations 2006 F250 Lariat Build

scooter99 Posted February 13, 2014 Author Report Posted February 13, 2014 Ok that makes sense. THanks guys! Facebook Page: S99Creations 2006 F250 Lariat Build
RossGo Posted February 13, 2014 Report Posted February 13, 2014 DD1 everything with EQ at flat settings. Once everything's max clean volume is known, tune EQ. With a 360.3, I don't believe you'll need the CC1 at all. Set your filters to off or full pass on every device and amp Then get down and dirty with the 360 Yes I have a lot of stereo weight. I build for Smiles Per Gallon not Miles Per Gallon LOLZ My build - 1996 4Runner with 2 18s - 149+ in a sealed box (with radiators)
Kyblack76 Posted February 13, 2014 Report Posted February 13, 2014 You dont need the DD1 either. The .3 will read and react to the hu voltage. That said, i found my .3 xover points to be a bit off when i tested it with my CC1.... SMD SUPER SELLER The Burban Build Blazer Build sold Acura trunk build sold
scooter99 Posted February 14, 2014 Author Report Posted February 14, 2014 SO after re reading the manual on the 360 I see what you guys are saying on the volume max detection stuff. Says it doesn't look for a clipped signal though. But I see what's up. Its' interesting. I'm becoming more and more impressed with it. NOW, IF I COULD JUST GET THE GOD DAMN THING TO TURN ON!!!!!!!!!!!!! Facebook Page: S99Creations 2006 F250 Lariat Build
