masterbusa2 Posted December 5, 2012 Author Report Posted December 5, 2012 I'll get some more info but im pretty sure it will fit there's plenty of space back there, there aren't any seats or anything, and it's a dual 4 ohm sub Edit: there is 32" length from back of console to window, 64" wide 48" high
masterbusa2 Posted December 5, 2012 Author Report Posted December 5, 2012 Also I know I didn't say I was going to max out amplifier lol
john253a Posted December 6, 2012 Report Posted December 6, 2012 Dual 4 will be 2ohm final So 750rms rms in a Tline with sub will last lest then 5minutes before you bottom it out and need a new one
masterbusa2 Posted December 6, 2012 Author Report Posted December 6, 2012 Again not to double post this buy the amp will not be turned up max, it will be set so that the owner cant change it and blow it
Tim Lam Posted December 6, 2012 Report Posted December 6, 2012 dude L7's getting fucking loud, no need up to upgrade. just slap some big ass, clean power to them!
john253a Posted December 6, 2012 Report Posted December 6, 2012 I love to no how you plane to do that "Not turned up max" when you gain match not volume set Because someone with the knowledge to do that Should have enough knowledge to read the first page of the T-line post witch explains everything you need to now in laymen's terms to build secondly seens as this is a "customer" build That means your getting payed for your knoladge and box building skills, right? So why are you asking for help again? And in the first post you said rear seat was going back in and now there not? Who in there right mind would remove the entire back seat for 1 10" sub Good advice you give there, to make it easy for you your amp makes too much power and has insufficient dampening factor to control it, with that much power in a T-line real options are get another amp, get a dual 2 sub build a sealed box build a ported box and gain match @ -3db and thats some good free advice, lest just hope you no what to do with it
masterbusa2 Posted December 7, 2012 Author Report Posted December 7, 2012 Hey dude no need to go on a rant it's my best friend and all he is paying for is the wood and he said it was fine if I attempted a t line for te first time, I'm gaining nothing from this I'm doing it as his Christmas present, now that you mention it I do remmember reading about setting everything a certajnw way I never claime I knew how to build it I only was wondering what would help the sub get the lowest, if he blows it it's on him and he will upgrade but until then I didn't ask the question to hear get a new sub. I simply asked info regarding port length vs the size of the port mouth the difference web though same tune say 32hz with a small mouth but super long port vs large mouth short port length same tune but what would be the difference Edit: also I was sayig seats staying in if doing a normal ported box, then friend called me up ad said he's fine with removing them conpletly and Doug something bigger the 10 is only temporary eventually going to go with something bigger just trying to get as much flex possible out of a kicker l7 Sorry for any confusion
john253a Posted December 7, 2012 Report Posted December 7, 2012 Just put it in a to spec ported box Don't wast your time or his money on a tline, just to fry the thing If you can get a different amp give it a go, but not with what u have, I'd just go with what works, and works well, and will give you hrs of lessening pleasure, 2cuft net, 24sq" of port @37hz Edit And put the seat back in
masterbusa2 Posted December 7, 2012 Author Report Posted December 7, 2012 But if we get another amp it would be worth it? Can anyone point in the direction of some solid 750's?
john253a Posted December 7, 2012 Report Posted December 7, 2012 your still not getting it, no to 750's you need like 300rms @2ohm for a T-line not 750, that sub is only rated for 450rms ported, (600 sealed) it will take 6-700 ported, but not in T-line, and i dont think you'll get a massive difference like you want save the $$$ and do a nice T-line on the next setup, with the right equipment
