emperorjj1
ok im thinking about trying to make my 6X9 ports soon bc my dad will be able to help me... he is in construction so hes got all the tools and such would need... anyway my idea is to get a 9" pvc pipe and with modification and some cutting/gluing i will make a 6X9 port. Now heres my question is that purple glue stuff for pvc going to be able to hold this together well enough? Should i attempt to fiberglass the outside or something for more stregnth? also there is a good chance im not going to get this 100% perfect with so would ruff spots on the inside hurt my sound quality and or spl? scratchy
rough edges FTL. The smoother the surface, the better air can flow over it. Think of it as gas flowing your head(your motor, not your brain :-[ ) We do that to make the surface smoother for better performance then im rambo bitch
emperorjj1
right thats what i thought but im not sure of a good way to get the inside really smooth... theres sanding but not sure how ruff it will be once im done there J. scratchy
I always sand my ports with a heavy grit and go finer and finer grit till its really smooth. Then I spray it with a high gloss paint too make it as smooth as possible then im rambo bitch
emperorjj1
:^... thats what im going to try to do but im probably going to need more filling then sanding since it probably wont come out to a perfect oval :V J.
