I was reading my manual on my jl xr components... and it asks for 1 cuft. for the 6.5's is this rediculous or what... who actually gives a 6.5 1cuft. of airspace... any ideas on how to fake the required number... maybe polyfill or a controlled leak to mimic the suspension needed...?

Airspace isn't as much of a concern as it is to control the back wave reflections. Poly fill, clay and deadner can work wonders in getting a better sound.

not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it. :)

Ditections say use at least 1 cuft... or midbass performance will be affected... i have been running one set in maybe .25 cuft for about a year and seem alright but definately feel they could sound better... bought a second set and redoing the whole setup and realized that in the manual....o_O
