95neon_thumper82
btw i think i missed the screw talk on kyles log what kind of screws are those? They are roofing screws with a 1/4" hex head on them, gonna use them for mounting the subwoofer as they should bite the mdf better and the head on them should hold nicely dude went preshopping on sonic. cables blocks fuse holders and that stuff power cable and speaker wires... dude I need 200 bucks lol... I think I'm gonna spread it out over a few pay checks. like cables and blocks then wires and fuse holdrrs lol... this cleaned up install is gonna fill an amp rack... lmno Yeah, the money noone ever thinks of is the money spent on the little shit like that, it sucks but damn does it make things look better and more solid definitely... I'm taking care of the small stuff first... its my exercise in patience sort of! Sorry to clog up your thread with 100 different replies bro.... enjoy the festival! <img src=http://i1332.photobucket.com/albums/w610/beastly666bassboy/IMG_9611192581855_zps9b9b76be.jpg border=0 alt= height="75" width="800"> Growing old is necessary... growing up is an option! Hellbilly429
looking good dude! are those bracings held in just with glue? or are they screwed? looking forward to this! Glued and screwed and caulked, lol, let me tell you what a bitch those little dowels are to get aligned and exact lengths and shit, honestly I think it took more time to mess with those than it did anything else so far, but when everything was just screwed without glue the box was strong as fuck, so I don't think flex will be an issue with this thing And the festival was good, go every year, love it, beer and wenches, what's not to like? 2018 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback (build in progress) NVX Sound Deadener (Front Doors) Stinger FAST Rings Stock Electrical SSA Evil 6.5's Front Speakers Stock rear speakers MB Quart ONX4.80 speaker amp Rockford Fosgate T-1500bdcp DC Level 4 12" D1 @ 2-ohm Box In Design Stage Stock RadioMy Build Log

Hellbilly429
Got the box put almost all together (just screws, no glue yet) This is the only issue I had with have the guys at do it best cut these boards, they cut all of the side pieces (and they cut like a dozen of them) about an 1/8" short on the height side, so I used my router and clamped a straight edge down and took down that 1/8" difference on the front and back baffle Then got the second baffle attached on the front WORD! yeah I have a couple buddies that always go to the ones out here but i'm like dude idk about talking like they did back then... other wise i'm in lmao you know? somehow i don't doubt that dowel work.... round shit sucks to work with dude for sure!.... did you end up gluing the seams together? or just screw and silicon? you gonna double baffle the front or just leave it single? Double baffle like in these pics, But I am keeping the outer baffle as clean as possible and also didn't want to have to dig up a 2" or more screw to go through 2 layers just to try to line it up with the dowel, plus I have to attach the first baffle to the box then attach the outer baffle to the inner one. But it's double baffled with 1" dowel bracing, it's pretty strong. 2018 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback (build in progress) NVX Sound Deadener (Front Doors) Stinger FAST Rings Stock Electrical SSA Evil 6.5's Front Speakers Stock rear speakers MB Quart ONX4.80 speaker amp Rockford Fosgate T-1500bdcp DC Level 4 12" D1 @ 2-ohm Box In Design Stage Stock RadioMy Build Log
Hellbilly429
And like I said everything is glued, screwed, and siliconed And the festival is always fun here, and we don't have to talk like that, most people just go in normal clothes and talk normal and enjoy shows, shops, beer, food, people, beer, you know, lots of fun. Did I mention beer? 2018 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback (build in progress) NVX Sound Deadener (Front Doors) Stinger FAST Rings Stock Electrical SSA Evil 6.5's Front Speakers Stock rear speakers MB Quart ONX4.80 speaker amp Rockford Fosgate T-1500bdcp DC Level 4 12" D1 @ 2-ohm Box In Design Stage Stock RadioMy Build Log
