Yup, might as well buy straight up plywood, because the little 1mm thick veneer on the top and bottom that is actually birch is going to make no difference... Mikey Bates
I saw the grade levels but wasn't sure it was each side!! Awesome thanks!! Super good info guys thank you! Also in the specs the thinking says 18mm which is like .7 inches. And it also says .75 inches... Do I worry about this or it it like saying a 2x4 isn't actually 2x4in? You are correct, like a 2by4 is actually 1.5 by 3inches. most birch sheets are in the .70 of an inch, meaning it is a tad bit smaller, and you will have to take in that extra little bit into consideratio or may end up having some decent sized gaps during assembly. Some of the Birches are even smaller then 18mm even tho they are advertised as 3/4 inch or even 18mm
Mikey Bates
Are all 3/4 plywood/mdf sheets the same, or is this birch in particular
Tarball
I believe the Baltic Birch is in mm because its imported and the Russians use the metric system. For the 2x4 the reason the size is off is different. 2 x 4 are the dimension of the raw wood before it is milled and distributed for common use. Mikey Bates
So if I'm using mdf use .75 for designs but for birch It's smart to use .7 enstead
