KMS Posted January 6, 2013 Report Posted January 6, 2013 so my check engine light came on in my 2000 integra first things first grabbed the code ready and got 5 codes p0420 - catalyst system efficieny below threshold bank 1 p0300 - random / multiple cylinder misfire detected p0302 cylinder 2 misfire detected p0303 cylinder 3 misfire detected p0304 cylinder 4 misfire detected anyone have any experience with this, just changed the spark plugs but not sure on the first code? kandiman71874 Posted January 6, 2013 Report Posted January 6, 2013 cat codes are dependent off of readings from the oxygen sensors and mass air flow sensor if it is equipped with one originally. Misfire codes need to be dealt with b4 even thinking about looking at a cat problem as they can cause all kinds of false codes to pop up emission related. I suggest you find an actual scanner and someone that knows what they are looking at with the pids rather than just a code reader. Can't usually see dick on the data stream on a code reader and if you can the data stream reading generally isnt fast enough to get a real idea as to whats going on.
