OrionStang
If you can't actually listen to any of the ones you are considering, then read all the reviews you can. It might be hit or miss for your first few sets. I may be selling my Sundown components, only been installed for a couple weeks. AI James
the problem with online reviews...most people writing those reviews have no idea what they are talking about. They make a blanket statment about a product and say, this is the greatest speaker Ive ever heard. There is no quantifier of what they have heard, how its set up, what kind of environment, or most of all what thier musical taste is in the first place. One person could love the all tweeter no mid bass sound while another may think that it sounds terrible and that a well blended stage is better, which brings in the question " whats well blended and whose opinion of well blended counts in your system? AI James
100 bones and nice component set arent really hand in hand. also leaving a 6x9 for a 6.5 up front your going to lose ALOT of sound. you could probably get a quality 6x9 closer to your budget then a component set. Look at the pioneer D series of speakers in the 100 to 150 dollar range they should demolish every thing even mentioned so far and be pretty close to your budget.
