Wait, are you actually running that box in your room off of what looks like a computer power supply? The bass clarity problem is probably the fact that the amp is a car amp running off of house electrical, I am sure that power supply doesn't give enough amperage to power that amp correctly, therefore it cannot do what it is rated to do and it will sound like garbage at higher volumes because the amp is clipping and sending distorted signal to your subs. Now a bigger ported box will make the sub louder than that sealed box, and if you are running it as a home theatre system your best bet is to build a down firing box with the port facing forward so you can get the most out of the subs with that limited power.

Problem is computer power supplies ar 12v, not 13.8 or 14.X, that amp will do fine on 12v only but, it will draw more that 30 amps at 12v. So you don't have enough electrical there. Plus, many computer power supplies are designed with two 12v rails, you are probably only using one and are only getting 15 amps. So, now you have an amp running at 12v wanting 30+ amps and you are only giving it 12v to 12.5v and 15 amps.

Just some info for ya.

You might be able to get away with an external aero port or 2, depending on the size of the tube. Idk how it will be sound quality wise, but it would be louder

thats what i was thinking of getting a port and porting it like the box in this link http://www.ebay.com/itm/KICKER-12-COMP-VR-CVR-DUAL-SUBWOOFER-ENCLOSURE-BOX-DCVR12-CompVR-subs-box-/160812629487?hash=item25712dfdef&item=160812629487&pt=Car_Audio_Video&vxp=mtr i thought it would be fairley strait foward and i would just be able to add it to my current box i just came here to see what size port and where to get them

How many cuft is the box you have right now? If you are dead set on porting it then take one sub out, put in a couple 4" aero or maybe one 6". Use the psp calculator

http://www.psp-inc.com/tools.html

tune it to somewhere in the 30's, unless this is for movies then tune around 25 because lots of movies have stuff down in the teens. Your box volume will be a bit big for just one sub, but on low power it will help it be louder.

Or just build a new box.
