Mikey Bates
My sister had a 97 Mazda 626 Es. A four door with a trunk and seats fold down. Right now she has a do level 4 m1 10 and a sundown 1500 v1. Speakers and such are irrelevant lol. I built a bod so that the sub and port fire forward and we could seal the no from the trunk, there was probably a 4" gap on both sides and 2" gap on top that we never sealed because it was so substantially quiter than flipping it around and having them fire into the trunk. Is this because I jut didn't deal it or because some cars are just like that? Point is her Xcon 15 will be here Monday and I'm about to build the box. I have a design from ssa that is its optimal box ( less work for me to design or pay someone) and it would perfect work so that it fires sub and port forward and we seal it from the trunk. I just don't want to go build it and it not be as loud as if we flipped it around ( I'd go a different box route in that case) so opinions on what I should do? Mikey Bates
Well I guess I didn't finish the sealing because I figured I would have noticed it get better even without sealing lol. Even if there is a small gap would it dramatically effect the output?
n8ball2013
yes. it has to be sealed completely the object is to pressurize a smaller area.
