To Boost or not to Boost?

isnt that what the stock bass knob does on amps? it controls the bass boost on the amp.. if it was that bad then i dont think the manufacturers would put it there..

maybe if you tuned amp with the boost up you wouldnt have smoke issues. problem is people tune with bass boost down then use it on music from decaf and send amps to clipping

i could be wrong but yeah if its bad to use it why do they have it

edit: best to use it when you play songs with no bass.. like some spanish songs.. most rap already have loud bass and its a bad idea to using it there..
