audiofanaticz
I myself was never a fan of pure gaming headseats. Most are made of cheap plastic, I love my amplified dj headphones, but they where $150. However I can crank them up in my living room which is in the front of my house, and hear them damn near clearly in the bedroom which is in the rear. Also not a fan of the gimmicks being used for surround sound headphones. They usually end up using smaller lower quality speakers instead of 2 nicer 50mm drivers. Baydestrian
Is this PC, XBOX or PS3? What is your budget? I personally have $40 Turtle Beach X12 for my XBOX and it gets the job done quite nicely. Astro's and Triton's are the popular higher end brands at least in the XBOX world 2015 Mazda 6 JVF Customz 4.0 Proto 15>Wolfram W4500 @ .5ohm 2 Sundown Neo 6.5 + 2 CT Meso Tweeters (Front) x Kicker KS6.5 (Rear)>JL Audio VX400/4i NSB-AMG35 (front) / 40ah Lithium Headway (Rear) built by Erni Audio & Electrical
n1ghtsn1p3r
This is the one I bought recently. I haven't really had a chance to mess with it though, since I got a broken one (either manufacturing defect, or it somehow got damaged during shipping). Corsair Vengeance 1500 USB Connector Circumaural Dolby 7.1 Gaming Headset http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826816005 I messed with it a little bit though (planning on shipping it off for an RMA on Monday). I haven't messed with it in any game, but I could kind of hear the positions with the speaker test built into Windows, but it was kind of hard due to the fact that the test plays a different frequency on each channel. I did listen to a little bit of music, mainly a couple of Decaf'd tracks. The bass was a little weak, but then again headsets aren't designed for deebeez anyway. Setting the Corsair drivers to "Music + Bass" helped a little bit. All "enhancements" built into Windows (bass boost, loudness equalization, etc) were off. I'll have to wait for my replacement to come in before I can test it in game. 2016 Ford Focus SE No build log yetDC Audio 1.2K2x DC Audio Level 2 10"
