mixalos Posted January 28, 2013 Report Posted January 28, 2013 first of all i wanna say good afternoon to all friends and fanatics of good and loud music....i post from greece and even the difficulties we can still listen and spend money to good stuffs....im sorry for my terrible english and im getting in the point.... i ve recently bought two dd 9518 s and we want to built a wall enclocer in a seat ibiza mk3 with 5 doors....everyone agrees tha must be tuned in 35hz......i want your opinion and if that is a good idea?i mean the subs gonna play with a spl dynamics d4s......is gonna be loud enough.....maybe we need another amplifier?the car we wonna be in emma contest....or not??????i am sorry for all the questions but i am confused.....a little bit.....im waiting fot your help...!!!!!thanks to all!!!!

If a box tuned to 35hz is a good idea? Sure.. Just don't go playing mid 20s subsonic stuff through it. What's the box volume? Port area? Carbon Posted January 28, 2013 Report Posted January 28, 2013 Not 100% on what OP is asking, but if you have to ask how to build a wall and how many amps youll need for your subs. Your not ready for a wall yet. The best thing you could do is build a box based on DDs specs. If your serious about running 2 9518s that leads me to ask you how many batteries / alts do you have?

Again, I am not familiar with the dimensions of your car. I have no clue what you should set your gain too. As to what settings are correct, what you should set your low pass filter for, how big you should make your port. This all depends on your enclosure, Which is also dependent on your car size. We cant just give you a list of preset things to do. It appears your looking for this: 20x10x14x16 box 32hz 20.4 port. gain set 9/16way up. lowpass @20hz. We either need wayyy more information or youll have to learn to use google for calculators

But, I think they LOVE port, and they can get low on mid tuning. But, I'd like to hear from someone that's ran, or runs DD. Again, cheers and welcome to the forum. Is this a wall or a box that you built to get this score? A 146 is a decent score by all means.
