Are Blown Subs Fixable?/

Is it possible to fix a blown subwoofer? if so how much? and where would i take it?

its a 12" 500rms Polk Audio mm124

iirc, polk will offer to fix you sub, but they dont offer recone kits. you can send it back, and they will either replace, or repair your sub...if it is under warranty. If not you are better off buying another sub since they can be found cheaper than you are likely to pay for a repair.

Depends...

If the voice coil is rubbing, then you'll need a recone kit or a new sub, but I've had subs that just had an inside lead break, & those are fixable if you're skilled.

4 15" FI Q D2's in 12 cubes tuned to 32hz

1- T1000.1bd's

3 Maxx 29 deep cycles

4 runs of 1/0 gauge

-Big 3

-Trunk sealed off from the cabin

Custom 15.8 dual-volt switching MLA module

All in a CAR.

Oh those are the good ones from back in the day! Might wanna see if you can get a recone somewhere, but those may be hard to find being over 5 years old...
