Mobileaudio25 Posted January 31, 2013 Report Posted January 31, 2013 I'm running 3 agm batts, with the big 3 and an HO alt with all 0 gauge OFC... 2 questions... I have 2 in the trunk, do I need a fuse between them? And the second is do I ground them off of each other or make each battery it's own ground ?

Carbon Posted January 31, 2013 Report Posted January 31, 2013 YOu do not need a fuse between the 2 rear batteries. You want a fuse close to the battery in the engine comp. and one Near the 1st rear batt that the 1/0 run will be going to.

And what size fuze should I run between my alt and first battery and Inbetween my first and second battery? The wire can pull 375 amps through a 20 ft run and my alt is 180 amps... I'm running 2500 w rms

Miguels Posted January 31, 2013 Report Posted January 31, 2013 no, you only need a pos run from front to back. ground the front to frame then ground the back to the frame.. now i get what his saying but its cheaper and better to ground to frame than to run a ground from the front to the back..
