ChevyBoy95
reason between the 2 18s and 3 15s is i can fit both, 2 18s is cheaper, and when i sell my XLs (decently soon), i will be upgrading. Still undecided, will be around 1300 for 3 15s when i upgrade or 900 ish for 18s. major reason behind difficulty is im trying to stay under the window line so i dont get put in a different class when i start competing. pa-pa-platypus
ok my bad didn't read the whole first post i apologize.. i think you can still make subs forward port up work.. but subs and port up could also work.. its tough to determine which would louder exactly..and i have a single cab f-150 and mine is subs up port to the side which could also be an option for you lol This isn't teeball. YOU DO NOT GET A TROPHY JUST BECAUSE YOU SHOW UP. Put the work in and then maybe get the respect when it has been earned 151.6 with single 12 at 41 hz 153.2 with 2 12's at 43 hz power: dd m4
mrd6
You have a NBS Chevy full-size don't you? Are there enough guys that have gotten loud in one yet to make the determination which setup meters best? I always though the full-size benefited from subs and port up to passenger side. This is generally what I have seen to work the best My Build Log: http://www.stevemead...-sundown-power/ Team NorthWestSPL
ChevyBoy95
Kind of a useless thread on my part, for the sake of having a box i know will perform, ill stick with the 3 15s idea. pa-pa-platypus
2 18's can work man lol there just isn't a cut n clear best box you can use thats going to get the loudest.. if nothing else build a few and find out This isn't teeball. 01 S-10
So far in my S-10 subs up/port up on driver's side has been the loudest. My new box will be subs forward/port up on driver's side, I'm thinking it will be louder with subs forward but we'll see TDH FTW !!!

If i did 18s, i would have to pull it out, build a new box, get 18s, and be unsure on the result... i like the 3 15s thing too, it is different. CleanSierra
I agree, box building is fun and not terribly expensive for just MDF(for a trial run at least). I think first configuration I would try is subs up, port up to passenger side. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
