LT.Smoke Posted February 4, 2013 Report Share Posted February 4, 2013 I am using a program called easy tether on my Motorola Photon and I have it linked to my laptop as I sit here at work... It uses my phones internet etc... My question is this.. When I am on my phone I can access SMD,FB,and all the other forums/sites that i frequent but when i try to access it on my laptop when its tethered the only site i can access is SMD with no issues... Doesnt make any sense... Anyone know why it would do that? I rooted my last two droids...they were on Verizon bu tsame crap..they let you get a taste of tether and then you have to pay for it monthly and for the program. I rooted and ran a better rom also...but even when on the stock rom I could use wireless tether apps...and I didn't have problems accessing any sites and I could broadcast a WIFI network so anyone I gave permission (there was an access control feature) could use my internet connection. I would copy and backup everything from your phone first. Also get comfortable with how to restore it back to factory and unroot it just in case you need to go back. I never went back to stock once I tried some of the better options out there.
