Ummmm say what now?

Good rule of thump is go by what fuse size is being used in these amps. The higher the more amperage it pulls, this is what I look at.

I'll stick a 300 amp fuse in a potato and sell it to you for $2k.

People have their preferences. Welding cable is generally cheaper. But it doesn't look pretty. Just a basic flat black normally. I just found some Excelene 1/0 OFC wire on ebay that is $2.60 per foot. Radaflex comes out to around $3.10 per foot. Both brands are nice. Not as flexible as KnuKonceptz or Audio Technix wire or whatever, but it wil still do the job.

Link to sale? I need more ofc 1/0

Hokay... Skimmed over this and heres my thoughts..

I have 10 runs for welding wire in my truck. Paid 2$/foot.. Not bad for 100% copper wire..

Welding wire is a little smaller then car audio wire.. BUT car audio wire is oversized 1/0 wire.

The jacket on welding wire is retarded strong. I had a 6" section left an i tried to melt it. Used a propane torch with a tip that eill make metal glow red hot (bursomatic tip) Didnt even melt the jacket, heated it again and tried scrapping the hot jacket off on a piece of steel on the edge of my bench.. Again didnt even scratch the jacket.

Where i have to run my wire is right next to my header/colector with a 1/2" gap at most between the wire and header, no issues... Id love to see a car audio wire do that...

was waiting for a topic like this to pop up too, or i was gonna make one lol. but i just thought wire is wire, and if 10k welder's can use it then im sure my $800 3500 watt amp can use it too.. but i dunno i guess it all does come down to prefrence, and what other people were saying some people need alot of flexability when working with stuff. but glad i got to read this too :P i can get it for cheap as hell from the owner around here, but i heard weldingsupply was a good place to get it from too

down rpping vanderbilt. 30 miles from victoria. i own the 3rd loudest setup here out of 3. but i did put together all 3 setups

strapping 2 amps together ? like bolting them next together? using bungy cables to hold them down? or wiring separate amps to each sub
