Swordlordboy1234
who is it? PM'd. Keeping it under wraps until i actually decide for just amps or a FULL system swap and a Team _______ sticker on the front of my car. Both seem like good options. I just would have to sell my Polks, t600-4, and XFL 12's. Which idk if i want to burden myself with all that selling. Swordlordboy1234
Well i got word... My new box will be here before the end of next week. Its gonna be a sick looking box for sure, and it should sound even better then it looks since BHE made it. Also, working on selling my 2500 and t600-4 for some more power. Might be looking at 3800+ rms at 14v. prob closer to 2500-2800 at full tilt voltage with my electrical. Might need more electrical with this much power im about to run. Gotta see what class i fit into for USACI and see how many batteries i can get. But i need a vote. I am replacing the door speakers, Bass amp, and 4 channel amp. I am not replacing the subs for turkey drag. Should i go pro audio? or high end comps with a shit ton of power? TRTC360
i'd go comps, not necessarily too high end if you're on a budget though, 1 pair of 6.5" comps per door and some good power should sound much better and get loud enough to keep up with your sub stage. You'll need too much processing equipment to get PA drivers to sound as good as components especially on a budget. Swordlordboy1234
well considering i was looking at Hertz XL's or something similar on 250 watts per door at 2ohms... or pro audio. Cons of pro audio, Eq'ing, and hoping they fit nicely. Pros... Price and loudness. Cons of NICE comps.. price.. pros, They will fit perfect and sound amazing. My polks already do a decent job at being loud and sounding good. but heatwave i was drown out by loud ass pro audio doors and 155db systems so i got kinda pissed. bighossf150
I have $380 worth of pa in my truck and they keep up with my 155+ wall and dont sound bad doing it, I plan on getting a minidsp later on to tweak them but thats only another $100 Used to have a loud truck 2009 Corvette Z06, H/C/I, 150 shot, g force tune, 730rwhp/690rwtq 2013 F-150 limited, MPT Tune, leveled on 35"s
Swordlordboy1234
Oh i know pA can sound great. New york guys prove that a lot. My concern is having to invest in a EQ and RCA's and mounting it... and door panel work... Id love loud ass PA doors. But i also like the stock look. Its hard to decide. I would have less then 200 in PA speakers but close to 500 in comps ... Swordlordboy1234
thats what im debating. Though the 500 May or may not be in my budget before december (it will be close) but Either way i dont think i wanna show up to turkey drag and have people only hear my mids and highs good while they are in the car. It would be debatable if the PA would be as loud as the hertz. Ive seen PA get stupid loud. but im sure the hertz will be way louder then my polks are now. I mean like i said they get really loud, and on a distance test they do great for being 200$ comps. But put them next to real builds and suddenly i sound like im using the headunit to power them bitches. :-( The 500$ cost is scary, but im not gonna cheap out on stuff anymore. I made that mistake with many things in audio since i got started and id rather do it right then do it half assed. bighossf150
If your talking one pa mid and 1 pa tweet per door I'd go with the hertz then, but if your wanting 4 or so mids per door with tweets that can keep up I'd do the pa Used to have a loud truck 2009 Corvette Z06, H/C/I, 150 shot, g force tune, 730rwhp/690rwtq 2013 F-150 limited, MPT Tune, leveled on 35"s
