I'm thinking 4 ZVX 12's on 2 2500.1 in a BHE wall. 3 or 4 Xs batteries... Lots of toolmaker stuff. More OFC stuff instead of my mostly CCA wire... And a shit ton more deadener. Still figuring out what I wanna do with my doors. That'd be pretty aggressive lol. Nice build by the way! Appreciate it bro! Yeah I'm not sure when I'm gonna attempt it... I think I'm just gonna pile up the equipment as I find it on sale for good $$ and then scoop it up.. When I got all I want just shoot over and spend a couple days in Tampa at robin from BHE's house No problem. Thats the way to go! You can get stuff for pretty cheap used. Just wondering did you ever have the 2500.1 hooked up to the vvx's? Those were d4 ohm coils... Paralleled down to 1 ohm nominal.. Set at -5 db with my DD1. They worked hard but sounded great. Swordlordboy1234 Posted February 11, 2013 Author Report Share Posted February 11, 2013 why wall with 4 12's? don't the skar's like small boxes? seems like 4 15's is easily doable in a wall in an accord nevertheless, seems like it gets down They are pretty efficient on space yes... 1 cube sealed and 2 cubes ported for my ZVX 12.... I have a 4.x cube box kerfed port tuned to 31.xx... The reason I'm walling with 12's is because of 2 things.l. 1) I have 12's and won't have to recone. Plus the way the coils are I can strap 2 2500's at 2 ohm nominal (1ohm each amp) with my 4 d1 ZVX's so that works out good. 2) the 15's want much more airspace and I don't know if I want to give it up. Only room for 4 -12's but that's just cause of width and height restricitions. I haven't measured it out yet but I'm thinking air space and the fact that I don't wanna give up leg room. I don't mind having a 2 seater but ill be damned if I'm gonna drive my car scrunched up because of bass.... I found those rattles we were hearing that one night outside my dads shop when my neighbor came out and started talking how his mtx 10's and 1800 watt boss amp was louder then my car LOL... in my spare tire well was a whole bunch of broken glass screws and stuff that was vibrating against the bare metal in my tire well were the spare is... I'm about to build one for 2 12's at 4" wide and that thing looks like it's more around 6 wide. Looking forward to more! That's a kerfed port bro. It's actually less then 3 inches wide in the tunnel parts...but the inside you can see the flared port and the outside its a nice kerf painted black. The of section is prob 3 inches wide plus the 3 inch wide port. Take a second look.
