96 DemoCCord. 150@32hz in a trunk + 3way SQ front stage

Recommended Posts

Easy 47s out of the trunk, maybe even a 48-49. Ill be at the conroe show too but hopefully with some new subs. I don't know what's up with that sub, I BEAT on my xfls demoing 10hz below tuning with no subsonic running 2x rated power clipped and I only got them warm twice during the whole show.

Used to have a loud truck

Damn, it sounds like you had a hell of a time.. Despite the fact that you blew a sub. Good shit.

Question for you.. Do you know your port area and tuning fs?

Thanks Bighoss, you were awesome yesterday. I appreciate the generous ear o meter rating too. I truly believe it was a 148 yesterday but sadly... No meter is no meter. Erg.

I WILL BE READY for the Conroe show, and I will put up stupid numbers out of a trunk and demo allllllllll daaaayyyyyy longggggggg.

Oh and btw... I did get stuck leaving the show yesterday, I got out but damn I got scared lmao.

No sir. But if you would like I would be more then happy to take a tape measure and help you out with some measurements in my car. The port should be very easy to calculate as it has zero bends. The kerf at the front will be the hardest to account for.

Like I told you before all I was told is that it was 4 cubes after all displacements tuned to 32.

Sorry, I don't recall you telling me box specs previously. If you don't mind, could you please get me the area? I just like how far under tuning you can play before bottoming out.

I just want a baseline for my box.

Well with those subs in that box in my car I was playing nicely down to about 23hz.

Box dims are 32.5 wide. 14.5 tall. 24.25 deep.

Tuned to 32 according to BHE.

JUST TOOK measurements of everything. From the front of the port to the tip of the triangle that directs airflow at the back of the port is 21 inches. Port looks to be 23 inches deep from front to back.

The port walls are 19 inches deep from back of wall opening to front of port.

The port looks to be 12.75 tall

The port looks to be 2.5 inches wide through the length.

And at the end of the kerfs on the outside the front port width is 6 inches.

Hope those measurements help.

not a problem bro, Im really hopping to be running 8 hdd's or 8 zv4's by the conroe show, after all the demos I dont give a damn about numbers anymore, just lows. With the street beat run I figured out what was wrong, I turned down the volume after I was having trouble with the cd skipping and never turned it back up all the way before I made my run, noob mistake, I had absolutely zero trouble getting out lol

Oh no worries man. Those measurements might not be exact but it might get you closer to where you wanna be. If you look carefully in my build log at the box pics you can kinda picture what I'm saying when I gave each of those measurements. I figured now would be a good time since I don't have 1 sub in there anyways lol.

The kerf port makes it much more effecient though. I have less port noise then my 4.75 inch wide port on my last box then I do with this box with a 2.75 inch wide port.

But BHE Has magic SPL dust in his boxes.
