sundown sa-12 ported box

im new to fourms so sorry if this is a repost or in the wrong spot

im building a custom box 4.65 ft3 for two sa-12 going to be powered by either hifionics brz1700 or glx1800 I want to be loud but also sound good. what is a good tuning I was thinking around 37hz. also I was wanting a divider in the middle but also ported there kinda like labrynith or should I go with a different type of porting

I'd.go 32-35 htz. Shrink the box.just a hair. As close.to 4 cubes as.you.can get. 4 cubes net

So here is a suggestion to build (checking dimensions first) or as reference for doing your own:

Enclosure Specifications:

Fb = 33 Hz
Vb = 4 ft^3

External Height = 16.5 in
External Width = 34 in
External Depth = 21 in

Port Width = 3 3/4 in

Cut Sheet List:

* All Dimensions in Inches.
* Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.

External Enclosure Parts:

2x Front = 15 1/8 x 15
Back = 34 x 15

Left & Right Sides: 19 1/2 x 15

Top & Bottom = 34 x 21

Shared Port Internal Assembly Parts:

2 x Front to Back = 17 5/8 x 15
2 x Extension = 4 5/16 x 15

Assembly guide (generic dimensions):

- The 45s if you want to do them are 2 1/2" wide except the one/ones inside the port, if you want that let me know.

- All trunk boxes built outside the car need to fit in their way in not just have the right dimensions.

- The port needs 3 3/4" of free airspace in front of it for proper operation.

- Setting your amp's subsonic filter to 28Hz is suggested.

Ok so I have used your dimensions, a little deeper to meet the 4 cubic feet net, the box is tuned to 33Hz so it will be good for music.

I really like this box im thinking im going to build this and put it in my 2001 grand am I have sundown 2 sa-12 and use a Rockford T1500.1 bdcp running @ 1ohm the size of the Box looks great for a fit in my car but is there any changes you would make to this with the power of the amp birth sheet of my amp says 1927 W
