Subwoofer Stokes Posted February 15, 2013 Report Posted February 15, 2013 I have a Hifonics Hfi 1500 on my Fi Q18, im looking to buy something a little stronger but dont really wanna spend over 400-500. I know that i wont find many amps for that price but my sub is dual 2 ohm and rated for 3000rms. Any suggestions on amps in this price range. <p>Black 1997 Chevy C1500 Ext. Krakin Posted February 15, 2013 Report Posted February 15, 2013 The SAZ-1500D would fit that RMS for wiring to 1 ohm Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . Nikitaaa Posted February 15, 2013 Report Posted February 15, 2013 a bc2000d or Q1-2200d would work nicely with that subwoofer. http://www.soundqubed.com/Q1-2200D_p_31.html http://www.crescendoaudio.com/index.php/products/amplifiers/item/bc2000d.html 2007 M/T Honda Civic Coupe EX (4) Sundown Audio X-8's (2) Ampere Audio 3800.1's (3) Stinger SPV-44 Batteries (1) Mechman 240 3:1 Ratio 4th order sealed from the trunkTEAM NWSPLBest termlab scores to date in Honda trunk:151.7db legal (official) IASCA trunk 3 classBest termlab scores to date in my walled Subie:152.9db legal (unofficial) IASCA advanced 2 class155db outlaw

Krakin Posted February 15, 2013 Report Posted February 15, 2013 That's still 147% of the RMS value. Do you have the extra cooling added to your sub?
