Chris Hammer Posted February 15, 2013 Report Posted February 15, 2013 Need a new battery for my truck..im rolling witha 4yr old standard lead acid right now...It's just time for a new one..its still working even in 0* weather...but Im don't want it to bloat or leak on me like my last one. I figure 4 yrs is a good amount of time for a 100$ battery. ANYWAYS - XS would have been my first choice but my truck has a weird group size. Kinetik has the KHC1400 thats almost a perfect fit...its slightly thinner then stock but height and length are almost perfect. Anyone have opinions on Kinetiks larger batteries? Anyone running the KHC1400? and is it enough to replace your stock battery? I would like to keep it so the battery hieght has to be almost exact because both terminals come through the top of the box. Im running around 400wRMS right now for sub stage I think my biggest load is my offroad lights I have 220w worth plus 2sets 55w HID's...I only use the offroad lights when we are going out to the desert..and I usually have my stereo off because we ar elookign for camping spots etc. So most of the time my load is 400w for Sub...80w headunit...110w for low beams and my stock draw. Thanks for the input. I don't want to hack up the battery tray or battery box because I am going to sell my truck eventually and don't want people(especially older ones) to be turned off by modifications like that. When I sell it a stock battery is going back in and I will keep the AGM batt. My whole system was isntalled so I could remove it and return it to stock when I sell.
