What WOULD happen if i tuned it to like 35hz? Or does it even matter with 4th orders Build log, Super slow!!: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/168096-slow-neckbeards-1970-opel-gt/
zayres29 Posted February 19, 2013 Report Posted February 19, 2013 It would sound like Shit and not be musical at all even regular ported boxes don't have to be tuned that Low to pay low people have a common misconception on how to design a box Btw that was the first person. Ever banned by me while dropping a deuce. Feel privileged
Neckbeard Posted February 19, 2013 Author Report Posted February 19, 2013 i know i know, But the only stuff i listen to is decaf and chopped&screwed stuff that is on the low end. Only reason of me asking Build log, Super slow!!: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/168096-slow-neckbeards-1970-opel-gt/
zayres29 Posted February 19, 2013 Report Posted February 19, 2013 Doesn't matter unless you are riding around listening to 15hz test tones Btw that was the first person. Ever banned by me while dropping a deuce. Feel privileged

Pro7 Posted February 19, 2013 Report Posted February 19, 2013 4th orders are different as stated. The way ray put it is The size of the sealed section determines your lower f3 and the tuning of the port determines upper cutoff/f3 So tuning lower wont affect your low lows much it will just make you have less of a passband I've gotten a blowjob and picked up my iphone behind her back to see what email notification I got from smd before
zayres29 Posted February 19, 2013 Report Posted February 19, 2013 In all seriousness I had 8 8s in a 2:1 4th tuned to 40 (was going for 45 but I made a cutting mistake) Shit was the most musical box I've ever heard response was so flat from low 20s all the way to upper 50s+ my truck would straight up breathe when it was sealed up Btw that was the first person. Ever banned by me while dropping a deuce. Feel privileged

What WOULD happen if i tuned it to like 35hz? Or does it even matter with 4th orders One thing that you want to know is that the port tuning in 4th bandpass is NOT controlling how deep you play like with ported, its controlling how much it will play into the midbass region. So tune lower and you start to loose midbass.
Neckbeard Posted February 19, 2013 Author Report Posted February 19, 2013 Wait wait wait, is the 2 the sealed section? and 1 is ported? >< Build log, Super slow!!: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/168096-slow-neckbeards-1970-opel-gt/
