Add a plate amp or buy a home sub?

Recommended Posts

If you're not planning on a second sub later:

Bash or Dayton 300watt plate amp in a t-line, or bash/dayton 500-600watt in a large, low tuned box.

If you're planning on getting a second sub later, I'd get a rack mount/PA amp. I'd Recommend Cerwin Vega, Crown, Dayton, or QSC (My preference in that order) Power appropriate for the box design (~300watts each for the t-line, or ~600watts each for a large vented enclosure)

For movies, I'd recommend mid-20's, maybe even lower if you're really looking for that "rumble", or for music I'd tune to 32. For a mixture of both, movies and music, I'd tune to 28. Of course tune to the drivers FS if you're doing a T-Line.

*New vehicle and system coming soon.*
