rusty959
Can we just go ahead and clarify for everyone that you should NEVER change the polarity of the POWER for an amp, or anything else most likely. (meaning what comes from the battery) We are talking about only the wires connecting directly to a speaker that may be ok to reverse, depending on the application. Sorry for the interruption but I can see a n00b going out there and getting all confused. 2013 Subaru BRZ12" Orion HCCA on AQ 22001967 mustang restoration project: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110765-mustang-restoration-build-2011-edition/ Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/therusty959

White Lightning
one reason to flip the polarity of a speaker ( not a sub) is to account for refection off a surfaceIt can also change the depth and height of your soundstage...radically Waiting for Randal to appear, although ScottishBear has some good SQ knowledge. I know that it can change your staffing and imaging I believe by flipping polarity. Maybe not imaging even, but stage height for sureThank you ... And I would MOST DEFINATELY trust ScottishBear with ANYTHING he has to say on this subject ...
