I know that it can change your staffing and imaging I believe by flipping polarity. Maybe not imaging even, but stage height for sure Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

White Lightning Posted February 19, 2013 Report Posted February 19, 2013 Changing the polarities in the tweeters different from the mid bass drivers is called "in phase" or "out of phase" setup in your stage and image ... This sometimes has to be done in passive (and some active) systems when the drivers are too far away from each other in an install situation. You can "change your phase" to tighten up your stage and image. The USACI SQ Judging CD has a track in it that can tell you if you have your front stage and image "out of phase" or not ... Can't tell you which would work better (inverting the tweeters or inverting the midbass drivers) because it will be install preference ... We've always just changed the phase on the tweeters and everything worked fine for us ... This is by no means an "EXACT" definition (im at work and don't have time to look up the correct info) but it will get you close ... Hope this helps ...
