Most people don't fuse in between batteries because runs are so short so half the time it would be hard to even ground out. I would say if you feel comfortable without a fuse between batts don't do it. I don't and I think there are a lot of other users on here that don't either

Never postive to neg.2. if long run of wire fuse both ends.3.agm battery work with other AGM battery not lead acid , so do not mix!4.EXTRA! DO not need its just a thought to keep it safe and put a volt meter on both batteries also make sure all bolts are tight and also have good clean grounds. thats all i can think of.

Don't need a fuse from batt. to batt., just a fuse from your second batt. to your amp. Wrong! What happens if there if the wire grounds out on the chassis? please explain You hook your shit up right and that doesn't happen Been running a battery in the front to a battery to the back for about 2 years now, and I've NEVER had a single problem without their being a fuse in between batteries. -playing with different setups

flarobbie Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 i have a fuse in my run from front to back, but i have an escalade with 3 runs. i just didnt want to take any chances. its really up to you. how much exposure are you going to have with the wire? thats what you have to think about.
