My question is do I need to run my power wire from alt to back battery or would it be fine to just run it from my front battery? I ask this because I read it ain't good to run 2 different brands of battery's. and do I need to fuse it in between the back battery and the amp? (2) PSI p2 18's Crescendo 2000 Audio Technix 0 gauge/ SHCA 0 gauge Pioneer AVH-P2400BT yellow top optima big 3 . xs batt.

mrd6 Posted February 19, 2013 Report Posted February 19, 2013 They weren't trying to punk you, first thread is fine. Both are AGM batts. Wire single run from front positive to rear positive. Ground the rear battery to the frame (look up how to make a good ground). Positive from rear batt to + on amp, and neg on rear batt to ground on amp. You should fuse the positive run between the rear battery and the amp. You should also fuse the positive wire between the two batteries. Ideally you want this wire fused in two places, within one foot of each battery. For future reference you could find all of this info using the search function and reading. Don't need a fuse from batt. to batt., just a fuse from your second batt. to your amp. -playing with different setups
