OldsBoomer Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 I plan on going to a dealer and handling a few of these guns to see what is comfortable to my hands, since that is a major part of buying any weapon. I've shot many Glocks and loved them all but I want experience with more then just one maker. Im going to shoot my friends Springfield XD .40 cal to see how I like it. I was intialy stuck on only going for a 9mm, but now I am open to the possibilities to a .40. I really lilke the 9mm since it holds more rounds and has less of a recoil meaning its easier to stay on target for rapid fire. I am not a big guy at 5'6" 153lbs. I can easily handle the .40 and the .45( I shot a Lee County Sheriff's glock when I was about 12 with a 3" grouping, I dont remember the distance but all shots hit the neck like he told me to do). What handguns do you all carry daily and what cal are they? I have a big list just because I wanted a good spread for quality to price. Beretta Px4 Storm Glock 17 or 22 Sig P226 X-Five Tactical S&W SD9 ve or SD 40 ve, or the M&P line Walther P99 AS 9mm or PPX M1 Ruger BSR 40 or SR9B If you have any others you think I should look into please let me know.
