AI James
al 5 of the BTL's that i have seen with the same issue were due to playing the sub below the boxes tuning and it over excurding and ripping them clean out. I didnt read real close but were they blackened or were they just pulled apart?
meade916
i used to go thru tinsels once a month with my RE MT's......but i had 8 bd1500's and gain matching was a BITCH. They would always roast right in the middle of the tinsel. I probably didnt have the best electrical for that much power even with dual 300's so that didnt help. Ever since i switched to the newer technology (T series) i have had very few problems. Gains match themselves now I did rip a tinsel once (after over a year) and broke a sub in half but other then that its been fairly trouble free.....not bad at WELL over double RMS. im not hella dumb either i know where "below" tuning is on my system and i dont get stupid if there is a song that is too low for my ported box. dirty power roasts tinsels playing below tuning too hard will sometimes rip tinsels. a combo of both is bad news X2 All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel! Mine have been good so far, but I can see and hear that with my new alt, batteries, more runs of 0 and a good , strong electrical system, these woofers are getting full power Official Scores at the Dash. and YES. It doesnt "boost" at 28..... T series amps come with a bass knob that boosts at your set frequency (second knob) which is between 35 and 70hz All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel!
