RooTxBeeR Posted February 26, 2013 Report Posted February 26, 2013 so I recently switched amplifiers, and I tried to use the bass knob wire that I had already installed into my car.the wire from my old amp and the wire from the new one are the exact same connector type and same pin type but they are not interchangeable, to the last of my knowledge I believe that they should work because it is only a wire going from the 1 end of a connector to the other end.so why am I unable to use the wire that I had previously installed into my car, and I'm only allowed to use the wire that came with the amplifier that I currently am using. RooTxBeeR Posted February 26, 2013 Author Report Posted February 26, 2013 so I am guessing that the wires on one connector like this. 1/2/3/4/5/6 dont match that on the other end? soundstream15 Posted February 26, 2013 Report Posted February 26, 2013 Yes. My pin snapped so I used one from a hifonics that my friend had, it wouldn't fit in it at all. Was the same pin type but wouldn't fit..so I don't use em lol
