Mr.JaunDurfle
If I have my sub and port firing into the car from the trunk and sealed off, is there any real benefit sound wise to putting sound deadening in the trunk? 2001 VW Passat Sportwagen Alpine ICS-X7HD DC Audio 5K SSA 15" XCON Tantric Sounds 6.5HD's, Sundound Audio SA-6.5CS Incriminator Audio IA6.4 XS batteries, KnuKonceptz wirez, Second Skin

Mr.JaunDurfle
I don't know yet. I have the box ready to install, but I have to build it inside the trunk so I wanted to know if I should deaden the trunk before I do that. I am on a budget and have deadener but want to know if I should put it in the car or the trunk for the most benefit. 2001 VW Passat Sportwagen Alpine ICS-X7HD DC Audio 5K SSA 15" XCON Tantric Sounds 6.5HD's, Sundound Audio SA-6.5CS Incriminator Audio IA6.4 XS batteries, KnuKonceptz wirez, Second Skin
Nate Futuristic
I had 2 vvx 12s on a aq2200d at half ohm sealed off I didn't put any on the floor or sides I used some on the hatch just in case And I had very little rattle But if you properly seal it off you won't have any rattles (unless your running like 5k + but at that point everything will rattle) down rpping vanderbilt. 30 miles from victoria. i own the 3rd loudest setup here out of 3. but i did put together all 3 setups ^^ Cant wait to swalllow Ghost's babies

Mr.JaunDurfle
The box and XCON are not installed yet. It's a slow build. But the XCON will be run on the 5.0k at two ohms. Thanks for the help. 2001 VW Passat Sportwagen Alpine ICS-X7HD DC Audio 5K SSA 15" XCON Tantric Sounds 6.5HD's, Sundound Audio SA-6.5CS Incriminator Audio IA6.4 XS batteries, KnuKonceptz wirez, Second Skin

CDetty
I would say just do it anyways, just to save yourself the trouble of pulling the box and deadening. 1999 Honda Civic- RIP 2003 Acura RSX Type-S
XmaximuS
It really just depends on how well the trunk is sealed off and the sturdiness of the enclosure.. But it couldn't hurt to have the trunk deaden.. X MY BUILD LOG>>>> NAH I BETTER NOT..
Tecomah
imo if you have the deadener on hand you might as well do it. i mean YOLO right lol . but I wouldnt go spending any more money on deadener when i possibly wont need it 750??!
