Crandis16 Posted March 11, 2013 Author Report Share Posted March 11, 2013 I decided that the port and box needed some serious work before it was all done I pulled the box and everything else in the trunk and got to work coil still looks perfect I took off the black trim piece above the box and painted it satin black because it was looking pretty faded and ugly I also filled in holes around the port and painted the port with gloss white paint again I removed the sub, sanded down the ugly dustcap, then gave it a new clean paint job it turned out better than I imagined My Red zx2 Build Log My Black zx2 Build Log My Red zx2 UBL Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Crandis16 Posted March 11, 2013 Author Report Share Posted March 11, 2013 the headliner is 15 years old and having some serious sag to it, so I went back to the upholstery shop to pick up some beige suede headliner got the old headliner removed... perfect timing for sound deadener if I had it :/ this old POS needs to change the cloth was easy to take off, but the foam didn't like to be removed. Crandis16 Posted April 9, 2013 Author Report Share Posted April 9, 2013 Recently I tinted my tail lights, I think I would like them darker so I need to remove them later and hit them again Most of the stuff I do is a first time, being that I've only been doing this for almost a year now. This time i wanted to try plexiglass got some designs sketched up came out nice as hell lit with an LED flashlight installed... still need to buy side-emitting LEDs to light it up I went to Cashdollar2009's shop that he works at and we pulled out the oscillosope to set my mid/high gains. We also decided to bring out SPL lab meter to see what I'm doing now. I was very impressed. Crandis16 Posted May 16, 2013 Author Report Share Posted May 16, 2013 ok, so I'm back with a lot of updates... zero audio updates, almost all cosmetic updates, but an update is an update lol. here we go INTERIOR SWAP TIME!!!!! uh oh, no more dash!!! damn sexy doors, ugly bumper looks 1000x better IMO me trying to figure out why my cluster gauge isn't working right.... found a loose ground, oops at this point I have all the major stuff in, just minor stuff to fix up box looks a lot better with black interior bye bye interior!!! Crandis16 Posted May 16, 2013 Author Report Share Posted May 16, 2013 time for junk yard gold lol. found some aftermarket goodies. side skirts needed too much work for the price of them, and I pulled the cluster to sell then I came accross these beauties... eibach coilover sleeves. I'm still working on pulling them, there is so much rust :/ then I found a bumper!!! got the bumper for only $30, plus a leather steering wheel for only $5. This interior swap was my excuse for nothing audio being done recently. Totally worth every penny. Cluster upgrade coming up, I'm aiming for something like this... Took some night interior pics stripped the plastidip and painted my wheels gunmetal grey, they look better this way Got my iceman intake installedHave yet to get borla exhaust installed due to tools.
