Jskiles
For the past 2 days I've been trying to remove the motor from the hdc315 to put it on the new basket. I removed the screws and tried using acetone to loosen up the glue and beating it with a rubber mallet. Is there any other things I could try? 2010 Kia Forte Koup (Slow Build) 2 Sundown SCV-3000D 2 DC XL M1 with PSI reconesFocal R-165s2 on Orion 4800-HPKenwood KDC-X798Knukonceptz OFC 1/0Audiotechnix,Fatmat and Q-mat Deadener XS power D3400 up front 3 D3100s power in trunkStock 110 amp alt 2013 Scion TC 2 Dc lvl 3s with xl coils on Soundqubed 2200 Sundown components AA 50.2 for components Pioneer FH-X700BT Knukonceptz OFC 1/0 Fatmat and Q-mat Deadener XS Power D3100 up front D925 in back Mechman 240 alt http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/189911-2013-scion-tc-build/ <Scion TC Build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/174094-jskiles-forte-koup/ <Slow Kia Forte Buildhttp://www.stevemead...ockUserAgent__1 < Old build 2005 Equinox

Chris Hammer
LOL when I bought my motor/basket from Tyler Parrish..he couldn't get it off so he just sent it to me.... Few days later I got it...basket was off the motore...UPS did it for me Im pretty sure the basket is aluminum...I would try somehtign to get in betweent he basket and motor...the motors top-plate should be alot harder than the aluminum so you will probably damage the basket but if you don't care it doesnt matter. Chris Hammer
"Smack the rim of the frame from behind with a hammer. Go around the perimeter of the sub and hit it in several different places. It will come off eventually.... hopefully not like the MMATs Pro Cast I have here that knocked the top plate off the magnets before the frame came off the top plate (seriously). ChevyBoy95
unscrew the screws, and give the baskets a few hits with a rubber mallet. edit: i have also used a chisel between the top plate the basket and it came off fine. Jskiles
I don't care about the frame so I'll try hitting it harder if that don't work I'll try the paint thinner. ChevyBoy95
Whenever you put a new basket or whatever on it, use RUBBER glue for the motor to the basket connection, then use all the screws, it will stay on, and if you ever switch sizes or anything, a tap or two and it will let loose, but even with all the screws loose it wont fall off. Thanks only thing with using CA is you will have a hell of a time getting the basket off if you need to ever again.
