rc6069
your boxes are extremely nice and what workmanship. I have 2 dumb questions if I may. the ports look longer and larger than most ports I have seen, is that a special style of port, please don't get me wrong I am not saying anything negative but just asking. also your carpet laying style is awsome and smooth, can you give a hint as to how you get it so nice around the ports? BAGGEDBIRDS.com
so no one has really addressed the cerpet edge. they are just showing up all of a sudden. it looks like a shallow grove cut with a circular saw and you tuck the carpet in it. is that right? it looks really clean. 1st SMD "System of the Month" Feb. 2007 Zapco Studio 500 (2) Zapco Studio 300X Zapco Studio 204 (2) (2) FI 12ssd's w/ copper coils DLS Iridium Tweeters DLS UR2.5 MidRange FI. rc6069
thanx.... there is no such thing as a dumb question the ports are longer and bigger....I build my enclosures with a very low percentage of port velocity there is no port noise with this port design "at all" and this design moves alot of air....the subs hit very hard carpeting takes alot of practice and a good supply of sharp blades and a good strait edge Thanks I appreciate the patience and information. so the ports so much longer because of the opening area? on the carpeting, how do you get the edge to not lift up, even with a bit extra glue at the edges I have had carpet lift up. Thanks again.

I drop in here occasionally to check things out. I am always amazed at what I see. I saw thumpers boxes for the first time yesterday and thought , damn what some damn nice craftsmanship. like many (I am sure) I am always open minded to how to better my vehicle ( although my ride would not keep up with many here ). I am not a pro installer but I do my own work and strive to be able to do better. I ask questions at the risk of sounding dumb, hope people are ok with it. thanks for answers now as well as future ones.
