Clarion EQ not working

So I finished hooking up my clarion today and it will not work. It turns on and it lights up but I have the main in RCA's running from the hu and the subwoofer amp RCA's plugged into the amp. When I take the RCA's out of the back of the eq and touch them together the subs play. So the volume and sub level are turned up on the eq. It turns on but there just seems to be no signal being sent. The settings are all to where it should be playing. I don't know what else could be wrong... Anyone?

i had a problem like this once, for my main 12v going into the EQ but i tapped into one of my switch wires, i was wondering for 3 days why my EQ would turn on and not process the signal, i accidentally turned my switch on and bam it was working, so i found an actual 12v that wasnt wired to one of my switches lol

was my own fault though, was bein dumb (thats why i use different color wires on switches now lol)

so all-in-all, my EQ was being powered because i had a 12v going into the TURN ON lead on the eq which was enough to actually turn the EQ lights on, just not enough to process the signal

Pressed aux on off earlier and nothing. The pos and negative are running straight to my battery in the back and my remote wire is tapped straight into my remote from my hu to my amp. All the wires are diff and are connected correctly.The amp turns On and works when I touch the RCA's together. so it's just something not puttin the signal through the eq...

I literally cannot find the problem anywhere. I have checked everything. The signal is there and worked for sure. But this thing just will not pass the signal through it. Once I get my speaker amp fully installed I will check the signal to that from the eq but I don't think it is going to do anything. My last guess is that this thing is defective.

i had a similar problem, mines turned on but no signal. i ended buying another one and come to find out it was a ground. i traced the ground i had, and somewhere behind the unit were i tapped off for ground it had came loose. just check ur wires and stuff man. also i knew this cuz when i tried playing it, the blue lights on the clarion dimmed.

I suspected that may be the problem. My ground wire is the same length as my power wire and it is run from my xs power batter in the back. I just used about a 10ft run of lamp wire from my back battery to the clarion. Maybe if I ground it right next to where the clarion is it will work right.

I'm an idiot I know that has to be the problem. When I get home I will ground it right to the body under my center console where the eq is mounted.

This thing is a piece of shit. It's grounded right to the body like 2 ft from it. It comes on and everything but will not put a signal through it. It has to be broken. I guess I will just call sonic and see what they can do. I have had it for about 2 months and just got to hooking it up. Will they send me a new one?
