bassinyerface Posted March 9, 2013 Report Posted March 9, 2013 The hifonics logo even with no 12 volt power in will light up as its first set of LEDs are ran off the remote wire. The second brighter set are run off the 12 volt. I know this as the other day I had my fuses pulled and tur end my key on and my amp lit up. And then k plugged my fuses back in and it lit up brighter and turned on. Of course there was no power but yah. So if its not a faulty amp its your 12 volt power forsure 2003 f150, 2 ab hd 15 on brutus 2400.1, kinetik batt, big 3, knu wire, image dynamics cxs 6.5 with ppi tweets, pioneer 1din and clarion eq.

Nicolas Posted March 12, 2013 Report Posted March 12, 2013 Im guessing its your amp. sounds like a very similar thing that happened to me. I had a crunch amp and some hifonics subs. (yes shitty but not the point of the story) Then I got 3 kenwood 12's in a sealed box and a bigger boss amp. I noticed that my old amp had more amps in fuses then the boss amp and hypothesized that the crunch would put out more power. I hooked it up and it would cut out when I turned it up loud, then I wired it to 2 subs and It was fine but the amp would be really hot. Then I went back to the boss amp and its more power, I know this because my lights dim and this amp doesnt cut out at all. From your story I believe that your amp isnt a good combo with your subs. Thats my 2 cents. Haven't read through the forum so if you found your problem then good lol.
