anyone play with 3DMark11 ?

I'm not gonna lie, I was a little upset when I saw Steve's stock system with more points than my overclocked rig. He has 2 580's and I have 2 unlocked 6950's so he has a huge advantage anyway, but I still wanted to see if I could close that gap. So I went ahead and tinkered a bit more with my CPU and GPU clocks and squeezed out an additional 143 points and I STILL can't touch his machine. I've got over 1000 more points for CPU score but his graphics cards are just THAT hard to beat.

You win this round Steve. :drinks:

sorry man hahaha!! :jon::buttlick::domodance::drink40:

i would OC my rig but its really so fast i don't have the urge to tinker with it. Also, its been one of the most reliable machines i have ever built. Not one blue screen in a year and a half.......and i NEVER turn this thing off. Once in a while i reset it and that is it LOL. I actually think windows 7 has more to do with that then anything else but ill take it :D

i am thinking of selling my 2 GTX 580's and putting the money towards an upgrade. Seems like the 580's are STILL $450 each (new) so i think $500 for both is a good price. I just gotta get off my butt and take some pictures and post them in the classifieds.

Upgrade to 3 Titans.

edit - updated Firestrike Extreme after a fresh reboot.

Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through.
