WastedTalent
It would be an actual projector setup. Easy. But then, rather than just that, during the daytime, there's a reflection of another color. Not quite sure how else to word it so here's some pics so you know what I mean. http://i495.photobucket.com/albums/rr320/Slash230177/Evo/2011-10-05180651.jpg That's the "reflection" http://i495.photobucket.com/albums/rr320/Slash230177/Evo/2011-10-08142517.jpg That's normal. they are 100% functional headlights as well. http://i495.photobucket.com/albums/rr320/Slash230177/Evo/2011-10-09223048.jpg http://i495.photobucket.com/albums/rr320/Slash230177/Evo/2011-10-09223954.jpg Another car... slightly different setup http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/cc356/iEvoVII/image-52.jpg http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/cc356/iEvoVII/dw2.jpg http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/cc356/iEvoVII/dw1.jpg http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/cc356/iEvoVII/dw4.jpg There's only 2 people I know of that do this, one in Australia and one that's in the US but doesn't do it anymore, or so I've found. Shipping to AUS and back, not cheap. So does anyone know of any place that can or does do these types of mods in the US? I have googled and all I can find are parts or like LED type mods. And yes, there are MANY different final looks as some are blacked out, some are chrome, some have the "reflection" lit up and some don't, ect ect. Also, for police reasons, I would NEVER do red. Lastly, I know it'd cost a pretty penny. It wouldn't be $200. I know it's up there in price. Sheena = pedobear

WastedTalent
Depends on what writeup you see. The one I first saw? It's a coca-cola can. Literally. He cuts it up and places it in there. And those don't light up at all. Like the red part. So those are different from the pics I posted. But he's gotten better at it and now, I do think he paints part of the lens. I'm going to email him later today (he's in AUS so may get an answer in like 2 days time haha) and see what exactly he does as far as the paint/color thing. lkraft97
there are 2 ways to get that effect. you can either put a led in the projector to light up the inside, or paint the projector shield with colored high temp paint. this has nothing to do with the lense, it is all about the shield. i painted my shield black when i did my retrofit. this gives the projector a smoked look that goes well with my black car. most people paint the shield because it will last for a long time. if you put an led in the projector, the heat will kill the led faster. here is what my projector looks like with the shield painted black. here is a thread on hidplanet.com about painting the shield. http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/showthread.php?27211-Painting-shield&highlight=painted+shield

WastedTalent
Rather than making a new thread, I'll re-use this one since it does partain to projectors. Anyone ever use carid.com? Have good experiences with it or not so much? Need some headlight assemblies and dealer wants practically double what carid.com has them for. so just looking to see if anyone has had ANY experiences with them or whatnot. aaronguzman123
That is the exact same setup i have been wanting on my lancer and i as well saw the forum where the guy cut the coke can. They do look really clean though but i would want a quad projection bi xenon setup. but only the demon eyes on the outer projections
