oh. yeah. /facepalm

At least the video you posted he heated the wire up. I think a lot of people don't understand soldering. The o.p.'s video does a nice job of getting a good bond too.

back on topic, hydraulic crimpers, IMO, are the bar none best thing you can use.

But they only work well with copper terminals ;)

That's roughly how I do mine: except I don't squeeze it as tightly with the pliers - I squeeze it just enough that the lug doesn't move/shift/fall off when I'm working with it

thanks for the compliment....I crimp them only enough to get rid of dead space then fill it with solder

only terminals worth using :) The split ring terminals are some poo
