lennytheleopard Posted March 19, 2013 Report Posted March 19, 2013 Hey ya'll new on the forums here and am in need of some assistance.. Right now i'm driving a 2001 Honda Civic with the following: Pioneed DEH P7000BT Headunit: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/CD-Receivers/DEH-P7000BT Kenwood KAC-8104D Monoblock Amp: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_11796_Kenwood-KAC-8104D.html 2 Kenwood KFC W3011 Subwoofer: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_8572_Kenwood-KFC-W3011.html Stock Speakers Stock Battery Stock Alternator I'm in the process of upgrading my stock speakers to some new Alpine SPS 610c's (http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_34373_Alpine-SPS-610C.html) in the front and some Apline SPS 619's (http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_34374_Alpine-SPS-619.html) in the back. This set of speakers will be powered by a Jensen 760.4 amp (http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_37040_Jensen-Power-760.4.html). I am going to use a 0/4 gauge dual amp kit to power the two amps in the back (http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_7280_e2-E3200-by-Scosche.html). I have a few quesitons for you guys: How do you guys feel about the Alpine type s's? Are there any other speakers I should be considering other than those ones? Considering i'm gonna be running 2 amps, can my stock battery and stock alternator handle the addition of a new amp? How much speaker wire am I going to need for this install. Thanks in advance for the help guys!
jhmeg2 Posted March 19, 2013 Report Posted March 19, 2013 lather, rinse, repeat... there are a lot of speakers out there. the type S aint bad, but there is much better. if its a first time instal, used em, don't spend all your muny on the best yet, untill you learn more. 100ft of speaker wire should be good. ////Alpine, Eclipse, Load Boss, Pheonix Gold, MB Quart,Digital Desings, Memphis, Stinger, Periphial, MTX, Visualogic
Carbon Posted March 19, 2013 Report Posted March 19, 2013 MB Quart over Alpine? ehh... It all depends bro

notorious97200 Posted March 19, 2013 Report Posted March 19, 2013 Do the big 3 watch your voltage with a voltmeter in the car. And maybe add a second battery. Good luck. black BMW X1 2.0 l 192 hp OEM head unit, Amplifiers : Audison AP 8.9 with integrated DSP and Ampere Audio 1200. afrakes Posted March 20, 2013 Report Posted March 20, 2013 You don't NEED to do anything else electrical wise. I run about the same power and have never ha any problems with any of my gear. Now if u are going to keep this car for upgrade in the future, you could discuss upgrading your big 3, alt, and battery in that order, but you don't need to for how much power u r running. BoomZoom808 Posted March 28, 2013 Report Posted March 28, 2013 You should be fine electrical wise unless you crank and clip your to show off and demo. If you do upgrade. Not sure your budget but full range class D's out there sip current and get loud at the same time. One of the first amps I had was a Jensen it would overheat all the time and cut off. Ken wood is ok keep researching there is a lot of better things out there for the same or less. Sometimes you can score deals if you look around. I got my PdX F4 for 200$ shop around and do more research. 2010 Mazda 3s 2.5L Pioneer DEH-X9600BHS Knu OFC 1/0 SS Platinum AGM / XS Power XP750 Alpine PDX F-4 / Morel Maximo 5 + Coax 5 IA 10.1 / SSA XCON 12
