matt6288
I have two MTX 12" subs in my ford five hundred. They are facing in the cab and I have an amp rack on the other side of the box enclosing the subs off from the rest of the trunk. it hits pretty hard but the other day when my boy opened the trunk to put his baseball gear in the trunk it got extremely more "BOOMY" at this point it made me ponder on this reason why. Is my amp rack closing off all the air and causing it to not hit as hard s my trunk lid causing this? a combo of both should I take my amp rack divider out and leave it all open. PsychoSoundz
is your port firing into the cabin too or just the subs? if the port is facing the cabin, seal the box off from the trunk.. can you get photos?
Brandon15zzz
I forgot the exact theory. Might be the vortex theory. IH8PunkRok had 6 8's sealed off firing forward in his mustang and was like a db louder with his trunk open. It was crazy when one our teammates who has more been competing for a long time told us to try it. But it worked.
